Getauscht werden sollen "fromme" Sinnsprüche gegen die Bilder von kleinen Soldaten. Die Künstlerin hat die Form der kitschigen Tauschbildchen für ihre Darstellung gewählt, um das Militärische ironisch in Frage zu stellen. Noch heute gilt es als schick, kleine Jungen in Tarnanzüge und Uniformen zu stecken, die es überall in den Kinderabteilungen großer Kaufhäuser gibt. Die Künstlerin hält dieser Manipulation von Kindern den Spiegel vor.

The artist ‘exchanges’ pious slogans against pictures of small soldiers. She chose the medium of kitschy pictures that children swap with each other to question the military spirit. Even today, it is fashionable to dress small boys in camouflage clothes and uniforms which are available in the childrens’ department of any larger department store. The artist holds the mirror up to such manipulation of children.

Ce que l’artiste propose d’échanger, ce sont des maximes "pieuses" contre des photos de petits soldats. Elle a choisi ces images kitsch qu’échangent les enfants pour ironiser sur l’esprit militaire. Vêtir les petits garçons de tenues de camouflage et d’uniformes, disponibles dans les rayons enfants des grands magasins, n’est en rien démodé. L’artiste attire l’attention sur cette manipulation des enfants.
